gub safe - Frontier

Have one of these fuckers in my basement that I'm about to move out. Fucking fucker weighs almost as much as "ain't your mommas cruiser" left ass cheek (600lbs) {fuck her if she's reading this }.

Do people really use shit like this? What about you gub owners?

I have no gub safe and I probably should. If you think yours is heavy, most of the reloaders I know keep 10-15 bags of shot in the bottom just to make it heavy. Just in case Bubba decides to haul it off.

Insure your stuff and love your family, not the "stuff". There is a lot more where that shit came from.

You oughta have a safe for the li'l Junkster.

Degnol - I don't have a gun - just the safe from the previous home owner. I'm finishing my basement and plan on moving this fuckless fucker out. That's why I asked.

Post it for sale or free locally....but make them move it!!

People do use those things, last one I saw installed while I was working in college was laid on it's back in a garage floor, car parked over the top....

Those Fuckless Fucker Gub Safes are R-A-R-E!
You know Junk, just because it is a gub safe does not mean you have to keep gubs in it. How many socks will it hold? Will TUT fit in it? How about a repository for cruiser parts?

Definitely worth something, especially if it's a heavy fucker. Sell it for cheap and let the buyer move it. I'd come take it off your hands if you didn't live in buttfuckville.

Hey, bring that thing over, I'll give you a six pack for it!

Junk,

I know a local guy who used to be a gub dealer. He's got like 100+ gubs in his basement. Fawking crazy. He may want it - I'll ask him. FYI - he'll be at the holiday party this weekend I PM'd you about.

I tried using one of those once and damn near killed myself. There's a much safer method. Here's a writeup.

I just bought a Cannon T27(700lbs), I paid $100 to have it deleivered and moved into place, even in my rambler with just a few steps into the house, we/they used a stair lifting hand truck, made life alot easier but it still took 3 of us and hour+ to get into the back bedroom, I sure as hell wouldn't have wanted to try to get it out of a basement without an outside entry.

I bet if you call a safe company, they would come get it for free if you don't want to mess trying to sell it. If you sold it, its prolly worth $500-ish depending.

which one is it?
http://www.sportsmansteelsafes.com/frontier.htm

or you could keep it and fill it with gub

if you want to limit the chances of someone using a torch on your gun safe........get an explosive sticker(like black powder stored inside) and stick it on the door

Just be glad you aren't like me, I have two of those fuckers floating around. Fortunately the small one is only about 350 pounds so can be moved by one guy with a dolly.

are you David Blain? making a safe float is a great trick

I can(after unbolting from the floor) move mine around most the house by myself(once I empty it), I put in on a piece of carpet and my house is all hardwood

NJFJ40 - yeah, check with him. I'll check our plans and let you know. Thanks for the invite.

zebrabeefj40 - well, you've seen the damn thing... It has to go before mid-Jan when I start finishing the basement.

e - We've got a few safes in the house - do not need one this big.

Pimp - I'm not against guns, just will never own one myself. I almost killed a neighbor of mine when we were about 9 and playing with guns that his folks left unsecured. I shot the gun just as he walked around the corner of his house. I couldn't have missed his head by more than an inch or two. Had no idea he was there and we had no idea what we were doing. Thankfully my brother in-law has a few guns and can teach my son about them when he's at the appropriate age. I won't touch one. I have nothing against them though. Frontier's site is down right now, but will let you know which one.

I have moved a safe in the multi-ton bank vault category by putting some round steel rods as rollers underneath and pushing it around. Was surprisingly easy. Hint: if you do manage to lift it up a bit for this, be sure to leave it on blocks so you don't have to do that again.
Yours should be pieceocake.

friend of mine bought a house 3 blocks up from mine in the historical district.

Has a huge cast-iron bitch of a safe in the basement. Massive thing, about the size of a refrigerator.

Says something like "Johnson Bros Safe Company, Chicago, 1897"

He wanted to have it removed when he finished the basment into a family/game room. Called some people to haul it off... they said they couldn't get it up the stairs cause it would have been too heavy, and too wide to go up the staircase.

They said they would have to cut a hole in the floor and hoist it out with a crane.

They think it was placed in the basement when the house was built 100 years ago, and the house built around it, cause they have no idea how they would have gotten it down there otherwise.

Fred

Isn't that what the winch on the front of your cruiser is for? It will only leave a small mark.
