yeah, correct. the 94's got the open rear sights, not real sure on how they are suppose to work, I have been using mine on the widest.
But the Mp5 got the peep/apature sights, they can be swaped(just the drum) I am waiting for my drum to show to do the swap. I ment to look at the Meps night sights Doug installed to see if it was peep or open, he is out of stock now. So 94's all got what you(and all of us) got. Mp5 got the peep sight. Quote:

I spent way more than I should have.... I had other plans for that $$$!
Oh well, it's not every day you come across a deal like this. thanks for cluing us in on it John... Not that I'm at all jealous that you have such a nice gun shop in your neighborhood! (my local gub store wouldn't even do the FFL transfer... I have to go to the not so local gub shop an hour away). __________________ Eric P. 1993 Landcruiser, 190K miles. ![]() I got lucky finding Doug, I called Steamlight 2 years ago looking for a certain flashlight, they told me there was a dealer just across the bridge, I called em up and headed in, on the door it says in BIG letters, LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY!...........turns out its just to keep the riff raff out.......heck they still let me in Turned out to be an expensive flashlight ![]() Dougs store, LEED, is located in an old bank building(with HUGE walk in vault) ........can you think of any better place for a gun store? Good deal. I'll play with the sight a bit and see which width I like best. Probably the widest one, for quickest target acquisition...let us know if you put on a peep sight how well it works.
I'd kinda like to try putting my red dot scope on. Any good sources for the scope mount? __________________ If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate. '99 UZJ100 "The Iron Hippo" / '82 FJ40 "Mustard" / '73 FJ40 |

Welcome to the club, Doc! You'll be happy with them, I'm sure.
As far as the open sights go, some are wider and some are deeper. The shallower the slot in the sight, the more the muzzle will be elevated when you line up the sights and take a shot. I may switch out the drum on mine too--I prefer the peep-type sights. __________________ Sparkplugs are Irrelevant. 1976 HJ-45; 1984 BJ-42; 1988 BJ-73; & 1993 KZJ-70 Quote:

Anybody got a favorite HK94 case? I'm looking online right now, and an HK94 search returns alot of 28" and 29" cases, which is weird since the weapon is over 34" long.... I'd love to find one with pockets specific for the HK magazines...

Found a simple, inexpensive sling at http://www.slingsonly.com/
Looks like a "Leapers" case from Cheaper Than Dirt, http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ctd/p...H0UMSM5E5S8T4A is a decent, inexpensive choice. I'm not taking it anywhere except between home and my cabin, so I don't need to be discreet or have a hard case or airline compatability. This should do me, and allow me to put a few dollars more into the FJ40 and ammo funds...
