| Does anyone have experience w/ this handgun? I have been looking at smaller carry guns, and my dad brought this one to my attention.
Has anyone shot or looked at one?
Thanks!

| I have the old style XDM sub 9mm. for carry - gun. Very good shot with tidy proportions. Extended clip reccomended for big hands ( still conceals easily). As a whole I like Springfield's for their reliability ease of maintenance and price. The 3.8 looks to be very similar to mine.

| cool, thanks, it would be intended for my wife!!
I like the Sigs, and the new Kimber Aegis line, but a bit steep. I like the idea of 19+1, if it is not disproportionate and awkward to handle.
Thanks for the input, if anyone has cycled a few through it, post up your thoughts

| one thing I dont like is the grip safety, even to rack the slide you have to have it depressed, I can see possible problems with that design, but maybe its just me.
oddly we have been selling HK's like hotcakes, we have even switched a few agency back to HK.......I am da HK man We almost dumped HK, but do to my meeting with the Pres.....and having his cell phone #...........shit gets handled much better now.
we looked into being a Sig LE dealer as Sig dumped the WA LE dealer, but they wanted us to buy WAY to much(and had to buy what they told us) product and the terms sucked, but they call once a week still. Only 1-2 WA agency use Sigs anymore, dont see anymore going to them.
Its possible that DOE in Handford WA may be going to the XDM, they are still using HK P7M8/13.......the last of DOE that does, we wont get them, gov will grind them up :(

| Why would they do that? It makes better financial sense to recoup some of the purchase cost by selling them off....

| its the US Gov(so all common since is out the window), not some local agency, hell the HK's prolly glow in the dark, Handford is the biggest Nuke waste dump in the US I think. They got some of the HK from ID when they went to something else, so these P7 have been around the block. Quote:

| Put one in your hand and toss some down range.
The XD line has been popular around here because of the name. Common verbiage goes, "....got that new springfield pistol? " I would say sales are higher with the line, but so are the consignments.
