Sounds like the registered name to me, but what do I know Had a Golden once who's registered name was "Amanda's Captain MacIntosh" but we called him Mac. Wonderful dog.

Yep, that is the registered name.
We call her Sprite.
crappy phone pic of our new Princess.
Sprite and the wife crashed when we got home.
I'll try to get a better pic with the Nikon tomorrow.

I have been looking at this breed for a LONG time but have had a heck of a time finding a good breeder out west.
Where did you pick here up and what made you choose this breeder?
I want a dog that is from hunting lines and not from show lines the search will pick up again in the spring.
Great looking pup! Makes me really jealous.

I wanted a hunting line too. This breeder trains hunting dogs. He had several dogs in training right now.
I noted he was training some dogs NOT from his kennel as well.
As you probably have discovered, most Boykin kennels don't even want to sell to non-hunters.
Roy, Dovewood Kennel, will not sell to young adults either.
He has several field trial winners.
His Boykins tend to the larger end of Boykins which we like.
We also wanted a line from S.C. in the low country. Roy's kennel met our criteria
and we met his.
They ain't cheap.$$$$
Dovewoodkennel.net
BTW: I introduced Roy to Cruisers. He was looking for a special vehicle to use for taking his Boykins to trials and I suggested an FJ60. Best dog hauler on earth. IHMO. That rear seat is flat across and my Boykins love riding there. With the rear folded away the back is great for crate hauling.
4wd for those muddy fields and FJ60 is straight drive which comes in handy in many ways.
While waiting for Sprite to arrive Roy bought a SWEET FJ60 he's picking up next week or so.
Roy's place is in Cottageville S.C. down near the Edisto River. The Boykins natural habitat.
Roy is retired law enforcement.
Money back guarantee for any reason. Hehe...bet he's never had a taker.
Pic is from his website of a young adult
