Monster Record NY Northern Pike
Got this in an email. Don't think it's BS but who knows.
Says guy was reeling in a 36" fish when a 56" 55pound monster tried to eat it at the boat. He netted both. Says it was caught at some Schroon Lake and is the new NY record Northern.
This thing is a bomber.

Got this e-mail back in January. The story that came with it, was that it was caught up in Canada on Rainy Lake. That's a big fish!

I swear I got this a couple of years ago already. The story it came with was that it came from Northern Saskatchewan.
The pic looks good. Maybe it's a midget holding the fish. Haha

Can this be considered caught since it was not hooked legitimitly? Still cool pics and a dam big fish cudos to getting it netted fast enough before it let go.

I got the Rainy Lake version as well...
as for legitimate catch...heck yeah, he was just using a fairly big Pike as live bait!
