FREE 1-year NRA Membership

https://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/accept-membership.asp

The NRA is on a push for new membership, which will be very important since Obama just tipped his hand that in order to solve Mexico's gun problem the USA will need to enact more gun laws.

Nothing speaks louder than numbers. Membership is free, so get out and beat the drum.

I just signed my son Sean in Oregon up, and will try to sign up some of his shooting and hunting friends.

where were they when we were being wiretapped?
where were they when habeus corpus was suspended?
where were they when guns were being confiscated during Katrina?
where are they now?
I'll stand corrected if you have any good answers

I'll give kits question a shot: NRA to settle suit over Katrina gun seizures - Updates - NOLA.com

reminds me of...

"In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up."

Martin Niemoller, 1946

My question is, if we sign up on that link for free, can we then flip it into a lifetime membership by the end of Mar for 3benjis?

This is like asking where the police department was when your house burned down.

The NRA is a Second Amendment and hunting rights group. The battles you describe fall outside their charter, unless they directly involved the Second Amendment or hunting rights.

The exception to your list is Katrina. I don't know why you apparently are unaware of this, but the NRA filed suit on behalf of those who had their firearms unconstitutionally seized - stolen would be a better word - by the NOPD.

1. The NRA deals with the 2d Amendment, which has nothing to do with wiretapping. Talk to another organization.

2. Same.

3. See post above. They were fighting like hell over it.

4. Virginia.

Look, I have a seriously love/hate relationship with the NRA that I won't get into, but if you think we would still have the gun rights we currently have without the efforts of the NRA, you're delusional.

Thanks, I signed up two friends. A good tip... I'm considering the lifetime membership (but it's a hard call when 1k rounds are the same price )

We don't need "drawing boards" or more questions, we need more NRA members.

Get off your ass and join. How's that for plain talk.

Good link Brian, thanks!

While I may not like how right wing the NRA comes across, they do have a proud and noble history here in the US. Atticus is right, the 2nd ammendment would have been trampled to death without their vigilance.

Count me and the family in.

Another one signed up. I'm sure I'll start getting barraged with the constant renewal notices now, which was the primary reason I dropped my paid membership in the first place. But at least this time I didn't pay for the priveledge of having my mailbox stuffed.

Actually I am a moderate who admires the NRA's begining and its Creedmore style shooting.

Has anyone here who has used this terrific opportunity heard from the NRA yet? I signed up but have not had any correspondence including even an email confirming my registration yet? Any thoughts on that? Thanks.

Thanks to all who have taken advantage of this opportunity and for your support of the 2nd amendment and our RKBA.

I think we all understand the NRA is not perfect, but we need not agree with every precept to be a supporting member.

Again, thanks to all who have recently joined, my hat is off to you!
