NRA lifetime membership on sale

Got a notice that the NRA lifetime membership is on sale. You have to be a current member. Regular cost is $1,000, they're offering it for $300 with code W9AVCRDE. Offer good through the end of March.

EDIT - I found some comments on an M4 forum that they're letting people who aren't NRA members register as a regular member ($35) and then "upgrade" to the lifetime for the $300. So, even if you're not currently a member of the NRA, you can get in on the offer.

Moderator note:

Offer expires the end of March 2009

That is a great deal. I paid that over 25 years ago for mine.

The NRA is doing a membership drive right now in general terms. They plan to be very aggressive in the coming years.

So, if I do this, does that mean I won't get mail from them every day for the rest of my life telling me that my membership is going to expire, and I can renew for ten bucks off I send them a check today?

Yes, this is a wonderful deal for young NRA members looking to renew. I will be looking into this on Monday for sure.

Thanks for the heads up.

from $300 NRA Lifetime Membership - M4Carbine.net Forums

"The NRA is offering a $300 Lifetime Membership through March 31st.

Please call 1-800-672-3888

It seems that it is as easy as calling the NRA and giving them the code W9AVCRDE. This will only work if you are already a member."

another linky says to call during normal bizness hrs to avoid lowpaid wageslaves at a FL call center, and that you need a current lifetime member to refer you.

Oh LandPimp, paging Landpimp....

FYI: GOA (Gun Owner's of America) is another option. I think, and this is NOT intended to slam the NRA, GOA is swifter and more nimble to act regarding key legislation efforts. Life membership is $500.

Gun Owners of America

I am a life member.

It's also about one one millionth as effective as the NRA at accomplishing things in DC.

At this point I don't know if they want a life member to contact them with my info or vise-versa, I am currently in the first year of a 5 year renewel but I wanted to jump in on the life deal thinking they (NRA) could use the extra support. I know there are several life members in the local sportsmans club I belong to so I will give them a call and ask them to get me signed up on the $300 dollar deal..........If thats possible

Thanks very much
Jerome
