I guess I've become jaded over the years from watching the hunting shows on TV, but whenever I see a big buck picture the first thing I want to know is not "how big was it?", but "where is it from?". If these were from a professional hunting ranch where the deer are actually fed and trophy bucks are the result of that farm animal upbringing then - meh. If the bucks were hunted, then I'm impressed.
Too many photos these days feature farm raised trophy bucks and guys wearing Polo jeans.

So true. The last sport's shop I walked into had a nice 6x6 elk on the wall. As I was walking out the door, I said "Nice Bull" the guy at the counter replied "Thanks, I got that sucker in Texas."

Yeah!!! Everyone knows reall hunters wear Carhartt
Sorry couldn't resist the tongue in cheek
If you've got enough cash anyone can have a sweet trophy buck, right out of a box without even breakin a sweat or gettin' dirty.

Lots of Elk in Texas, eh? Um, on Elk farms. You'd think someone working at a sports/hunting shop would know Texas and Elk means "I went to one of those 'deer in a box' places" don'cha?

First of all, Nevada doesn't have deer farms. And the two guys in the second photo live to hunt deer. They are fanatics. You can still kill a big mule deer without paying a guide. I have seen a lot of big bucks people have killed in the last two months. None of them where buying them. You just have to get out and hunt. And you cant kill a big buck if you shoot little ones. Some of the deer I have filmed in the last week where unreal. Of course I was on an Elk hunt. It is still possible without a lot of$$$$$$$$$$$

Thanks for the b/g - nice to know what you are looking at. And that's my point. Just pics of a couple guys doesn't do much for me anymore. But knowing the circumstances of the hunt does, since so many pictures are from "Billy Bob's Elk Farm and Salt Water Taffy Outlet".

In Iowa you can wear a clown suit and almost hit them in the head with a stick. It's like hunting in a petting zoo.

or wear nothing and shoot them out the bedroom window...

OR... was just talking to the janitor at the kids school who described having gotten his wife's first deer this year by the two of them setting up their chairs on a B service road and she shot one that walked by (early muzzleloader season).
yeah, there's a few around... whitetails though, no mulies

Those two AZ strip bucks are some beauties. I killed one a little smaller than the one on the left on public land in Beaver Utah a couple of years ago. There are still quite a few bigs one out there. Just takes smarter and harder hunting and some luck. I read somewhere recently that someone paid 170K for the govenors elk tag in Utah this year and appears to have got the new worlds record. I guess money can buy just about anything.

that bull was fully guided, huge finders fees paid out, and tons of people looking for that bull. He was named spider bull for a reason. I wish some kid would have got him before the guides found him. That was a canned hunt.

Yeah, would have been nice for a hard hunting kid to steal that from under the canned group. Strange looking critter. What the hell ailed it that to grow like that. Do you know if was taken on private or public land.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find that the canned hunt/private land folks are tempted to dart and ship massive record type animals to their property on occasion. If you've found a massive bull and sent them a photo of it you might get a bag of cash dropped off at your house for the tip, and somehow that bull might get trucked to Jeb's Deer Hunt-O-Rama and Salt Water Taffey Emporium - available for hunting for $150K......
