Need some 1911A1 scratch repair expertise
I picked up a Springfield V-12 45ACP last week and I am preparing to mod it a bit. The PO handled it a bit roughly during disassembly/reassembly and scratched the frame above the trigger with the slide stop. It is a common injury to these pistols, unfortunately. I am unsure how to polish the scratch out and keep from damaging the radius cut out for the trigger finger. I can only think a small dremel polishing wheel and aggressive polish.
Any suggestions from 1911 nuts out there, or do I have to have a pro do it? __________________ 1/75 FJ40 (soon to be RTC modded) 88 FJ62 Bionic Blue TLCA Member # 17731 Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse. |

Find a gunsmith, or forgetaboutit it's a previously owned gun, won't hurt the function.
