Bushmaster Predator

I picked my first "black gun" up today. Of course I have completely field stripped, cleaned and lubed it already. I have to say I am very impressed with the fit and finish of this gun. It is very tight compared to most of the others I looked at prior to buying it. There is almost zero play between the upper and lower, no need for a wedge in this one. What can I say about the trigger? Fantastic! This is my first two stage trigger and I love it. Take up is @ 3.5 lb and the final stage is @ 1.5 lb. Very sweet!

I am going to decide what optics to mount this weekend. I have a feeling the Burris Signature Select may come off the 22-250 and land on this gun. I may sell the 22-250 even though it is very accurate and I just bought everthing to reload for it. If the Predator does what most are reporting, 1/2 moa or less, then I won't need anything else.

Sweet rifle! So can I get dibs on your reloading stuff for .22-250? What .22-250 do you have? I might want that, too.

Seriously, if you read my post on buying it I got a real good deal and I may be able to hook you up. It is a Savage 16 FHSS. I just loaded the first ten work up rounds and haven't even shot them yet. I went through the PITA break in of shoot one clean for 10. Shoot two clean for 20. Shoot five and clean for 20. Then I shot two five shot groups at 200. That is all I have run through that gun and it is shooting real well.

I am going to go through the same basic PITA break in on the AR. If it is shooting like I expect then the 22-250 will go. I will let you know.
