well, when I saw the title of this thread I jumped in thinking I'd write "aren't you glad you don't live in the PRK..."

Strangely, now that I've seen it, I'm thinking that if they were all like that they would not have been banned from the great land of fruits and nuts....

I would dig having an AR, especially a Hello Kitty one. Actually I think a Barbie or Sponge Bob one would be cool too.

well the laws in Kalifornia are a PITA but until dec 31st 2008 you can now buy AR-15's again as well as some other semi autos, i've already picked up two, since the M4 gets way too much attention unless i'm in uniform.

wow, that's good news. Hadn't heard that. Glad to be corrected. Are these "regular" AR15s or emasculated ones?

They're all Nickolodeon themed ARs built special for CA residents, as they are the only ones not known by the State of California to cause cancer.

well i got the cartoon network version, a flag pops out of the end and goes "BANG"

as for the stuff i've picked up recently one was 5.56 the other was 6.8
I had originally thought that i'd only see STAG for sale in CA since they had the new magazine drop system that is legal. But i went to one of the shows and pretty much every manufacturer was represented, the only thing i saw that was noticeable was the bayonet lug as well as the flash suppressor, neither one that big of a deal to me. I don't imagine having to fix bayonets to repel a wave of squirrels. I'm seeing complete lowers go for as little as 125.00 so i will prolly pick up more and build at my convenience.

Also i noticed that there were alot of super short pump guns with the double pistol grips being sold. I hadn't seen those in a while.

Yeah, you're gonna want the ATF and even more specifically just a California gub law site since their laws supersede the federal ones.
