What is This Gun Worth??

I've been batting around the idea of selling my rifle - I dont really use it anymore and am looking at getting a pistola.

I've searched the internet to find out what this gun is worth now, but i havent been able to locate another one....they seem to be few and far between.

It is a Model 70 Winchester .270 Weatherby Mag. I bought it for around $1000 without the scope about 6 years ago, maybe 7. The scope is a Bosch & Lomb Elite....this is a true B&L, before Bushnell bought them.

So what is gun worth??

I've seen Classic Sporters with the Boss, in standard calibers go for $7-800. That WBY cal. might bring a bit more though if you're willing to wait for the right buyer. You'll get more if you break it up and flea-bay the B&L. Hopefully you have all the original boxes and paperwork.

Well, unfortunately i do not have the box for the scope nor the paperwork.......actually i might have it, but i no idea where it would be.

on another note~
I am not typically a BOSS fan, but the one on the gun is very low profile.

Thats a really good caliber. I would wait until september. Try selling it before the fall hunting seasons. Right now everyones concentrating on fishing and turkeys.

If you are going for most money back, split them up as someone
suggested. Sell the rifle during deer season for $750 and the scope
for 200.

Does it have any other markings on it? My blue book has a gillion of them.

also, the serial number starts with a G if that means anything. It also said it was built in Bridgeport, CT......
