Yeah he missed Boone and Crocket by a little over 4 in.

The first one was a big bodied deer - minus guts he weighed 246lbs. He lived his life in a strip of woods between a corn field and a alfalfa field.

The second buck was a WV buck. My dad owns 1200 acres and since the early nineties he made it a 4X4 minimum and been taking lots and lots of does off it. He was probably about 200lbs or so I didn't weigh him it was warm and we prety much skinned him and cut him up. I did send the skull and antlers in for a European mount, but they are not finished yet and if they were I couldn't pick them up as I am deployed. I have a piece of 10in wide barn wood I think the skull and antlers will look really good on.

Very nice bucks ! [I hate the word "dandy" for some reason, but it seems appropriate here.]..................... [Around here, dandy means ]

So the one on the left is from WA, and the other from WV ?

It's amazing how similar the racks are. Almost like they're from the same gene pool.

yea... I get into it alot... love chasing those roosters... my dog Sawyer is addicted to them... he will hunt every day all day... I never knew how much I would enjoy hunting with a dog until I got one... it really makes the hunt... even if we dont get anything... just fun to watch him work..

Nice moose. They look like a lot of fun to hunt. Also a lot of work.

I understand that.

My oldest is 5, [maybe soon], She's only gone squirrel hunting so far.

I just took a 13 y.o. Turkey hunting this past Sat. It was one of my most enjoyable hunts to date, and all I shot was pictures.

Looks like everybody had some great times this season. I thinned out a bunch of does on our place and our friends place but we didn't take pictures of them.

I get a real charge out of "guiding" more than hunting. I love being in the stand with my son or wife and helping them choose which deer they might want.

My son shot this one in October (youth only weekend) at the beer lease:

We went down to a big ranch in south Texas to help them do some management between Christmas and New Years. I shot 2 does every morning and evening hunt. I took my son and one of his friends and they shot these two management deer within an hour of each other on the same stand. The friend shot his about 7am and just grounded it. I walked out there and dragged it to the stand and we got quiet again and about 8am my son took the deer on the right in the photo:

A couple days later, Mrs. Copenhagen1 wanted to go and she put this one on the ground:

We had a good season and I am sure some of you guys understand what I mean about seeing them be successful instead of me.
