Looks like you were just waiting to lay that on some innocent bystander.... but sorry to disappoint you. I was looking at the hooves; you know.. they are not split.

But seriously in soft ground those hooves kind of grow out of control, and have to be trimmed back once in a while.

Can't tell if the scene is rural or urban. The hooves don't look shod.
We had a very similar accident when I was on a rescue squad in rural KY. A horse got loose from the rodeo. Went running up the highway on the wrong side. Car coming from the other way met up w/ the horse a the crest of a rise. Couldn't see is coming 'till it was too late.

What's funny is I went to TWO aggie universities (one for undergrad., one for grad.), and had more than one girlfriend that did any/all of showing heifers/sheep, raising goats, barrel racing, on and on.

Just never "took", I guess.

Here is a bear I stalked for a while when I was scouting for elk. It was out of season so the pictures were the only thing I bagged.
There were two bears there but the other one took off when I got tired of snooping around and came out in plain view. I don't think this one saw humans before, cause he just kept hanging around. He even tried to sneak around behind me and get a whiff.
