Smile hunting in Australia

I'm planning on heading to Australia in the June/July timeframe for a much needed vacation. While down there i plan on doing some expedition stuff, outback survival stuff as well as would really love to do some hunting. From what little i've read its a bit of a pain to import riffles for hunting, so i'd prolly have to rent, i'm askin what games down there that will make for a fun hunt, AND not cost me an arm and a leg, most of the outfitters i've seen advertised online are way out of my price range. As whatever extra monies i can scrape up will be to buy presents for my cruiser.

Thanks

Hell yeah, if i could afford to hunt one that would be great, but the cost is pretty prohibitive. Any other rec's?

Depending on how long your trip is, and location, you might think about booking a saltwater spearfishing trip. It's a blast. Definitely won't be as expensive as most hunting, but not really sure what prices are running.

I have heard that spear fishing for saltwater crocs can be a wee bit exciting!

croc hunting and Wild pigs

Well i have to say, Spear hunting a Croc would be something up my alley, i did some croc hunting in Africa, had a blast. I'm planning on trying to spend a month in Oz, but more than likely it will be 3 weeks as work may throw a fit if i'm gone that extra week, something about the word month gets them antsy. Are saltwater croc mounts allowed to be imported into the States? Anyone have any info on wild pigs down there?
-thanks
