Some folks should be kicked in the nuts....

I don't know who raised this idiot (or others like him), but they (parents) should all be lined up and kicked in the nuts/other.

It absolutely scares me that there are people like this. Where do they come from?

Quote:
Gunman used hunting skills at Omaha mall

The world was stunned by the senseless shootings at the Westroads Mall and we mourn for the families and friends of the victims. While nothing can ease the pain of the survivors, it is time for the firearms industry and Nebraska Game and Parks to take partial responsibility for these wanton acts of violence, since incidents such as these expose the fine line between violence against wildlife and violence against humans.

Soon after the shootings took place, NBC4.com reported that Robert Hawkins was seen with a gun and was believed to be going hunting, something he did quite often. Hawkins now joins other infamous killers such as the teens who slaughtered twelve Columbine High School students in Littleton, Colorado in 1999, and the Jonesboro, Arkansas children who killed four classmates and a teacher in 1998, who were hunters before turning their guns toward people.

Sadly, the killing skills used by Hawkins are taught to Nebraska's children by the Game and Parks Commission under the guise of "Hunter Education." As long as state agencies conspire with the weapons industry in promoting violence as recreation, senseless killings will always take place.

Firearms and ammunition excise taxes are allocated to support and promote sport hunting - violence disguised as recreation - and the wildlife management business benefits every time a gun or ammunition is purchased, regardless of how those weapons are used. The time has come to re-write the firearms tax laws and have gun taxes support the medical/funeral expenses of the victims of gun violence, as well as supporting crime fighting programs.

Please join our members and supports in Grand Island and across the nation in eradicating the cancer of sport hunting forever. Visit Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting - C.A.S.H. - hunting, sport hunting, sports hunting, C.A.S.H., CASH, wildlife, wildlife management, DNR, DEC, DEP, animals, animal rights, anti-hunting, ecology, environment, biodiversity, deer, whitetail, whitetail to help make the world a safer place for wildlife and people.

Joe Miele,

Vice President

The Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting

New Paltz, NY

Don't know if this is a repost, but a good read anyway. I particularly like #13:

FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE
1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
3. Colt: The original point and click interface.
4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
7. "Free" men do not ask permission to bear arms.
8. If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither .
10. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights reserved.
11. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?
12. The Second Amendment exists in case the politicians ignore the
others.
13. 164,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
14. Guns only have two enemies: rust and politicians.
15. Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.
16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
17. 911 - government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.
8. Assault is a behavior, not a device.
19. Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer.
20. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
21. Only a government that fears its citizens tries to control them.
22. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.
23. Enforce the "gun control laws" we ALREADY have, don't make more.
24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create
slaves.
25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun
control.
26. "A government of the people, by the people, for the people..."

This made me think last night. Virtually all of the mass murders in the past century have been committed with the aid of a motor vehicle. I move that we ban all motor vehicles. There would also be the benefit of a significant decrease in deaths by drunk drivers and improved air quality!

Selective mother fucker isn't he? That is his mother in line to get her share, after the chicken, isn't it?

Yeah, there's a similar link between people who cook and arsonists. I wonder if Mr. Miele would like to be the first to stop eating.

An interesting group. They proclaim,

About C.A.S.H.

The mission of C.A.S.H. -- the Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting -- is to accomplish what its name says in the shortest possible time. Understanding that abolishing hunting entails a process, a series of steps taken and not a single action that would effect our goal overnight, a time frame cannot be established. We hope for building a succession of wins, and if not wins immediately then at least a succession of stirrings of consciousness.
We hope to encourage those who are still silent to speak out, awakening community after community about the heavy hand of state and federal wildlife management agencies. We hope to alter whatever belief still exists that sport hunters are conservationists and champions of the environment to a realization that they are destroyers of wildlife and ecosystems in the narrow and broad sense. Where the natural feeling for wildlife doesn't exist, we strive to engender among citizens outrage that their own rights are violated by legal hunting and that their quality-of-life diminished.
History of C.A.S.H.

Luke A. Dommer was the founder of the Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting. He was its president from 1976 until his passing in August 1992. Mr. Dommer's research and publications served as the foundation for the anti-hunting movement. He remains, through this organization, an invaluable and dedicated warrior in the battle to save wild animals, the environment, and general public from the silent economy that encourages and preys on the passion of a few to kill the wildlife that belongs to all.

------------------------

If they want to protect wild animals the quickest way to achieve the opposite result is ban legal hunting. And would someone please explain to me what that last phrase means? Who needs to be saved from the "silent economy that encourages and preys on the passion . . .?" Just what does that all mean?

And the last sentence of the first section? Sport hunters are not conservationists? I suppose the money that hunters and fishermen pump into state wildlife agencies must account for nothing. Hunters violate the rights of non hunters? Their quality of life is diminished? These folk are seriously into the Kool Aid.

In general, I am scared of those who have nothing better to do than spend their time working to impose their minority, personal values on others. I venture to guess they espouse FREEDOM in the large sense of the word and would never admit the concept only translates to a way of life that coincides with their view of the world.

Yes, the mall shooter took the cowards way out.
