If I want a S/S....I just turn my O/U on its side "gansta style".

Kinda like this concept:

Just kidding, I like Side by Side's. Most the best shotguns ever built are on that format.

I wish I could add some of those to my collection. A nice sxs is also a decent investment, as they typically appreciate in value. Although they may not provide a return like Google, they will not depreciate like a 'normal' gun.

I love my little WC & Scott 28 gauge.

When I go up to visit my younger brother next month, I'll post some pictures of some his Krieghoff's.

http://www.krieghoff.com/pages/3.10/pages/3.10.html

I'd love to have one of their double guns or maybe a drilling. Of course, they make fine shotguns too.

My father was a competative shooter. His preffered guns were Krieghoff 4 barrel sets. He had two Super Crowns and a Crown grade. I only had a 3200 (32?) skeet. Unfortunately he sold the good guns before his death. If I remember back in the 70's the Super Crowns were @ $25k. Wish I had those guns around!

I have a drilling. 12 gauge side by side, with a 7x57 rifle barrel underneath. It also has a drop in .22 insert for one of the 12 gauge barrels, and a quick detachable Zeiss scope. It was a gift to my grandfather from the National Rifle Association. It is an absolutely amazing gun.

I also have a model 23 (not a 21, but still nice). I much prefer my 20 gauge Superposed. Far more accurate. Not nearly as pretty, but a better gun.

Yeah,

For a "hunting" gun.....the Superposed will always be hard to beat.

Agreed, but I still prefer a side-by-side

I was raised on side-by-sides and as a young teen I carried a VHE Parker 16 gauge with 25 inch barrels. That thing swung so fast it was scary....

I hunt exclusively with a Browning BSS boxlock 12 gauge 2 3/4 with 28 inch barrels, modified and full. I love that gun.

i could see how sidexsides would be cool, if they had a pair of 10 or 15 rd magazines underneither them and some kind of gas operating system

Where is John Browning when we need him?

He could whip one out in a couple weeks......

.

Know what you mean. My Superposed (12 ga.) has 26" barrels and was meant to be used on upland birds and quail, so it definitely shoulders fast and swings briskly.

I can press it into service on ducks as well, but its choked mod. over mod. so I have to be selective of my shots. Still love it though.

And I have nothing against Side-by-Sides....I can shoot them too. They certainly have a "classic" look that appeals to me.

Of course, if you have a perfect shotgun to begin with, you don't need a second barrel.

Rem 1187 Coyote Destroyer

Note the two holes in the chest froom slugs. This coyote was running full throttle sideways to me at 50 feet.
