From a couple of different trips this last summer. Blues and Channels from Choke Canyon TX, Yellow Cats from the Guadalupe River. Those Yellow Cats may be ugly but they sure are tasty.

One of my last fishing trips before moving out of AK.
This one weighed about 150 lbs., out of Seward.
I sure do miss it up there.

Not really exotic. Can be found in salt water all along the west coast.
Probably other places too. The farther south you get, the smaller they are.
We would catch 50 pounders without too much trouble. The record for sport caught halibut is somewhere close to 500 lbs.
When they get to be about 100 lbs. we would use a 410 shotgun to keep 'em from flopping around on the boat.

Here's some more.
The halibut in the center weighs about 50 lbs, the one to the right is about 40. The rest of the fish are silver salmon, they weigh anywhere from 12 to 18 lbs each.
This was out of Seward also.

well they are exotic for MO our rivers don't have enough water to float them fish, freshwater anyway.

Meramec Springs Park, just a short 2-3 hour Sunday trip. I really hate fishing in parks but its too close plus they were feeding bald eagles at 7:30, about 12 of them.

This is a swordfish we hooked in Fort Lauderdale and only landed after an assist from a huge Mako. Notice - no bill, no tail & some nice teeth marks.
