Just back from a trip up to Queensland and showing off the Barra I caught to anyone that will look.

48 pound 113 cms

They now have this fish at costco here in the states. Just tried some for dinner the other night, yes they are damn good eating. They must be plentiful down on OZ for them to make it over here.

Damn, that's a big fish! I can only assume freshwater? It looks like a member of the bass family.

what's so impressive is how short but how fat that thing is, what kind of tackle did you use?

Very cool...

My company made an attempt at the aquaculture biz a couple years ago and we opened a farm in Mississippi.

Our main goal was the Barramundi as it is a very good eating fish.

We had problems securing the permit for those fish as they would likely devastate native fish populations if they were to get into US waterways.

Voracious bastards.
