March 13-15 Badlands Run

Hey guys:
This event has been scheduled for a Friday through Sunday so I thought it would be good to get a head count of those who are planning to come...especially those who are planning to camp for the weekend. I know this trip has been discussed on another thread and there is some interest so that is good, but no one mentioned a full weekend. Not sure what the weather will be like (will know more in a few days) but you can probably count on it being in the 30s overnight. So who is planning on being there for the weekend? Anyone planning to camp? Who is planning on just coming for a Saturday Run. For myself, I am good for at least Saturday and maybe Sunday depending on who else might want to wheel then. If the weather cooperates, I might even show up at the campground on Friday night. So let's do the roll call thing and see how we should plan this. Thanks.

Ron

Ahh finally. I thought I was in an echo chamber.

I am planning on multi-daying it. I am up for camping. Summers appears to be closed until 4-20.

Did anyone camp by the river during TFT? I am up for that.

I guess I could also stay at the attica campground. I have never stayed there, and im sure it wont be crowded.

I am able to show up on friday and leave sunday.

I have plans for being there on Friday after work & staying until Sunday late afternoon. I'll camp where ever the group wants to be....so long as there's a fire pit. I'm ready to get together & do this thang.

"Did anyone camp by the river during TFT? I am up for that."

We didn't try that last year but I think we should. Looks like it would be a cool place to camp. Does anyone have an abundance of firewood they could bring? Or we could each bring a bundle or two from the IGA.

I have done a little research on the camping near the river. All I could find was that there is a hiking trail along the river. There is no official camp site. I will be staying at the campgrounds at the Badlands. I need to be able to leave my camp stuff somewhere I feel secure with.

Hey Tony: I have seen people camp on the banks before and last year, I called the local police and they confirmed that camping is allowed in the park. I agree it is probably not going to be as secure as a regular campground though. The weather is looking better for the weekend than a few days ago...mostly sunny both days with high on Sat. of 45 and 47 on Sunday. So who else is coming? Clint?, Jimmy?, Carl?, Mark?, AJ?.

I had my first test run in the 40 last night, lockers are locking and the self mounted tires roll down the road great and the bumpers didn't fall off!! Lydia and I took it to basketball practice last night, topless, it was in the mid 20's. With a grin on her face Lydia kept asking why people were staring at us. Maybe because they think your Dad's bulb is a little dim!!
Lydia might come along this weekend so I reserved a room at the Hotel for the weekend. If she changes her mind and decides to stay home for a Friday night dance I may end up camping......or maybe since I already have the room I may be a puss and still stay ay the Hotel. Either way....see ya'll Friday.

I might be down friday night to camp. Does the attica Inn all boyb? doubt it. Anyways, rumor has it that JoeZ will be driving the red runner with the 42s to attica. Yes I said Driving. Not trailer but driving. So now that we have that straight I will be following him friday night if the rumor holds. John PUSSED out of camping. His neighbor is coming. And yes I agree, it is a lame excuse. Im more than likely going to be running my ATs. I was impressed on how they did at toys for tots and I am currious to see how they would do with possilbe slick conditions. And I like the extra ground clearance the give.

So who is coming and who is bringing firewood????

I am sitting here at my house right now talking with Jimmy, and it is looking likely that we won't be camping Friday. If that holds true, than we'll be in Attica early Saturday.

Ok. So if I'm reading this correctly. Ron, Tom & I are the only ones gonna be there on Friday night. No offense, but if Tom is hotel bound. I might just wait & come up on Saturday as well. Ron? What you gonna do?

I was going to take a half day off work today and come down this evening but things are such at work that I won't be able to leave early. So I am planning to come tomorrow AM. Will plan to stay for Sunday if others do.

Im out as of 6:30 this morning. Letting my truck warm up and I look out and see a spot forming under it. Move the truck. Run my finger throught he spot and its gas. Get under the truck and I have gas seeping through the rust of my fuel line from the pump to the filter Yippie!!

Hey, someone left a box with a single speaker in it, on my trailer. I meant to say something when I came up to upper lot. Who is the owner? Do I need to send it off??

Without those I'm nothing. That flat bed sure comes in handy for something. Now I feel needed.

Between Tom and Tony it's hard to tell who spent the most time behind the welder and grinder. Nice work guys.

Nice pics Lydia. Once again we had a great time.
