12/06 TFT's Badlands-2 Days Wheelin??
I'm curious whether anybody plans to wheel Sunday 12/07 after TFT's at the Badlands?
I have a game Saturday morning 12/06 so I couldn't get to the Badlands until 2:00 in the afternoon. So I'm curious if anybody has intentions of wheelin on Sunday also? The reason I ask 4 weeks early is cuz my junk is tore apart right now, I'm working on upgrades and trying to time when I should have it finished. If nobody is going to run on that Sunday then I'm in no hurry to get it done.
If this works, maybe a stay at Hotel Attica on that saturday night is in order!?!

Me and the misses are planning to be there on Saturday only. We will be driving out from Indy and then driving home as we are going to the Colts game on Sunday. Is the Badlands TFT run set up the same as the Interlake TFT was, bring a gift and get in free? Never been to Badlands, would really like to meet up and run with a group so as I don't get any damage on the FJC. What time does the run start in the morning, and wht time are people planning to get there. Also, is there a place we can meet up before wheeling? Last question, will there be someone from HC that I can sign up to become a member?
Thanks,
Robert

Ill try to get there on friday. It sounds like a group of us will hit the hard trails on friday. Saturday should be a traffic jam. I dont know if I will stay til sunday. I guess it depends on how the weather is because I will be down at summers camping. Good luck getting a room at attica!
Also I heard the toy had to be 15$ and you still had to pay 10$ and pass are 5$.

4rnr, thanks for the info, I will come prepared. I would like to stick to the easier trails for now, until I get some more experience behind the wheel . There is really a lot going on and to pay attention to...

Im going to be going down on my AT's and taking it easy especially if its cold. I dont want to risk snapping anything like i normally do. Hey John, I forgot to ask you if Jen is going and if your bringing the whipping dog. If not I call dibs on passanger if I make the trip down on fridady. But I will be there on Sat.
Just FYI incase nobody has noticed yet but for those of you that dont know the badlands change the entry fee for sat.

Normally Summers Carrol will be closed for the season by then, so you may have to settle for the Attica Family Campground in front of the park.
I normally come up for Saturday only, but depending on the weather I may be enticed into Friday and or Sunday.

I'll bet we could arrange something with Summers if the weather is decent. I called them and left them a message, I'll let you know if they call me back.

Yes, Thats what I was thinking. If we sign something, and behave. All we need is a nice quiet place to park and have a fire.

I bought a new (to me) tow vehicle.....one of the lesser reasons but still good reason is that I can sleep comfortably in the back of the new vehicle.

Jenn and I will be sleeping in the 4runner fri/sat/maybe sun.
Tom any info on camping at summers??? I hope they let us in!
Does the badlands "family" camp ground get crouded for this event. Unfortunatly that looks like the back up
Nice to see Joe and I wont be the only people camping.

I just called the Attica Police Department and they said camping is allowed at that city park which sits right on the river just south of the main road heading out of town towards Summers. Might be nice for a change. A lot closer too.

What does it cost? It might be better than the badlands campground. I wonder how far from the highway we can get.

Nope. Didn't check on that. Would think if they allow camping, they would expect people to have fires. Maybe not. Guess I could call the fire dept.

I remember during the summer going over that bridge and seeing people camping there. It would be less than a quarter mile from the highway. Not sure about cost. The police dispatcher didn't mention that. Being a city park and this time of year, I doubt there would be a cost.
