Indiana Guy looking for FJ60 Parts!
Hey everyone, I'm a Southern Indiana cruiser guy (Haubstadt). Mark Collins (Booty) recommended I hop on and post on the Indiana board.
I'm going through a frame off resto on my 60 ( http://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wa...j60-resto.html) and have just found some nasty quarter panel damage. So, I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a parts vehicle or junkyard within 200 miles that has an FJ60 that I can cut a couple patches out of.
Thanks in advance!!

Brandon, after talking to you I called Richard and he knows a guy who had one and is going to see if he still has it and get back with me. He said it was a complete truck with some front end damage and the body may be off the fame, he talked like to price may be pretty cheep if he still has it. I'll let you know.

I know the world can't be this small..........this isn't the Brandon Skinner, son of Pete Skinner from Cree Lake IN is it?? Even after viewing your profile I can't rule it out, he went to Purdue, your an engineer and the age is right.
I'll eat my soiled shorts if it is! (but there would be a blood test)

Alright, here it is.
The left side has a dent and a tear near the wheel well and rust at the base of the well, and the right side is EVEN WORSE! The right side is completely smoked. Some asshat decided to sculpt an FJ60 out of 3/4" of Bondo along the entire bottom of the quarter. To make things worse, it looks like the reason for the panel is a huge friggin' gouge from the well to the bumper. To make things worse, said asshat did not prime/seal the metal before applying the Bondo, so now there was a dented, rusted quarter under 3/4" of Bondo.

Skinner,
There is a specialty junkyard right outside Indy. All they have is foreign cars. Unfortuniately the one FJ60 they did have is gone now. I have not seen a 60 in there for about 3 years now.
Brickyard Import Auto Parts is in Brooklyn, IN.
Edit: 4-15-08. No 60's have come in.
