Well I'm also going to miss this one, grandaughter turns four on Sat. so I'll be in Chucky Cheese Hell, but I can't tell her no. So I guess you know where you all rate now. Have fun.

I'll pray for you Mark! Drink heavily before and after. It'll ease your pain.

Dang Mark, I think I'd rather go to the dentist than Chucky Cheese!
Can someone closer to Badlands give me an idea of what the weather has been like? We've recieved close to 4" of rain in the last 2 days here in southeastern IN. Not sure I'm interested in trying to wheel an open rig in sloppy mud in the rain with the wind blowing in 40 degree weather. Not my idea of a good time...

Well my haul rig just blew the motor so I guess I can't come. As usual something terrible keeps me from wheeling.

After much berating and verbal bludgeoning, I'll be in the parking lot at 10 with the FJC. I'll have the tips of my boots greased up for a very special certain someone. Right john?
Hey Tom, I'll be bringing my son! He wants to see what a real 62 looks like.

Worked until mid-afternoon on the pig. It took me that long to get it running right and then it died on the run around the parking lot.
I threw in the towel. Frantic wrenching to tow a half running rig through ice/snow to wheel topless in the cold rain didn't sound like fun.

Despite the damage inflicted upon me and my truck I actually had a great time! A crushed roofline and a broken pinky made it that much more memorable. Pics in the AM after the Elvis drugs wear off.

Nice tube work Tom, I can't wait to see it up close. It appears that there are 4 drip rail mounts supporting the rack/roof protection, is that correct and are you going any further with the tubing or going to leave the clean side look? It looks great the way it is in the pics.

Thanks Bill. thats Carls handy work!!
I don't see adding any more protection, maybe brush wires if that is the correct terminology. I am real happy with the look but even happier with the function, lots of scraps on the tubes and my first time out with absolutely no sheet metal dings or damage....Thanks Carl!!!

A few more:
Tony, you asked for it to be posted. As you put it, " Tried to fit a 5 ft truck in a 4 ft hole.".

Sure did have a good time. Great to see & wheel with everyone. Worst carnage (as a group) I have ever seen, in one trip. As usual I got to find another weak link on the chain that is my truck. But this just gives me opportunity to improve it some more. As long as we all make it there, and back home again, with lots of fun in the inbetween, it's all good! Lookin forward to the next time.

What was the carnage count at the end of this event? Jimmy wasted his L.F. fender and door. Clint lost a L.F. shock, rear brake line, & tweeked the L. door window frame. Carl dented a R.F. door. I modified a R.F. fender and my front bumper. Oh yes, then there was Phil with the entire left side of his beautiful FJC. A TTORA guy (sorry, don't know his name) ripped off a right side slider. And that's just what I saw. Any others?

So Tom got new body protection and gets the carnage monkey off his back for a while, but apperently the monkey was confused and didn't know where to stop on the rest of you.
I better get my junk together soon or I'm going to take the Saturn into the woods.

With the trails as tight as they were, I think your Saturn would fair pretty well! I say throw some 37"s on it and give the 'Zuki guys a run for their money!

Man looks like I missed a wild one. Sounds like body work may be the main topic at our next tech day. See when the body looks like mine you really don't notice the new scars.
Tom, the tube work looks great.
Hope to see you all next time

Watching the people who work there and what they must gothrough every day makes me realize that my job is realy not that bad, even on its worst days.
My stepson Chris had a completly diferent outlook on it, he said "So many single mothers and so little time" AHH to be 30 and single, the world just looks different from his eyes.
