Ky Outing
http://forum.ih8mud.com/trails-events-expeditions/181693-harlan-ky-toyota-trail-team-ride-nov-3-4-a.html
Howdy All,
Anybody contemplating this outing? Anybody been there? That opening pic on the link with the hills/mountains got my attention.
I am already going to be in southern Ind that weekend with family. I need to run a Mapquest to see where this is.

If that is the case, then my calender is way off. I had Toys 4 Tots as Dec. 8th?? Where did I get that?
Will there be good Cruiser representation at Toys 4 Tots?

There is two toys for tots events. Nov. 3 at Interlake ( a state owned property down here in southern Indiana, about 20 miles NE of Evansvile.) they open the property for the day to all types of wheelers. Hopefully the property will be open full time next year.
Dec. 1 is the Toys for Tots at Badlands.

Thanks Ron.
Got my Aussie locker, need to put it in yet. Ordered my new rear and front bumpers. Hopefully have them installed by 12/01 so I don't beat up my quarters any more or at least reduce the risk. Then hopfully some 33's. I wanted to stuff some 35's but that sounds like a bad idea without a SOA.

Tom,
I will be at TFT at Badlands for sure. I may go to Interlake if the testing schedule allows. I think I have an Organic Chem test on Halloween so I should be good. I wouldn't be able to spend the night so KY would be out of the question. Now that I think about it...how long does it take to get to Eville from Greenwood?

Steven, Probably a solid 3 hrs maybe more. Mapquest said to get there from Nashville to go back out to 65 but I think the state roads would cut a lot off. SR37 may be your best option.

My steering is still apart. I won't be doing any wheeling till that's done. Did we change the date for the Toys for Tots run at the Badlands to the 1st of December? The club event calander says the 8th. I need to change my vacation day if the date changed. Can someone verify that, please. I will be having a minor out patient surgery on November 2nd, so no wheeling for me on the 3rd either. Can't wait to see your upgrades Tom. Later. Tony.

OOHH....that's where the 12/08 date came from!
I put my ARB bullbar on last week and a slightly used set of 33's on last night (can you say NOISEY), aussie locker sitting waiting on me and rear bumper on the jig by now at SROR and should have by 12/01.
Tony, hope the surgery goes fine!!

Prob about the best link for info I can give you is www.boonieriders.org
If you are coming down for the ride and want to see some of the more hardcore trails then be sure to find me at the event.
ask for Josh Rohrscheib......most people local to the event know who I am

Okay, evansville looks like it would be fun. I have a new stock FJ and have never been 4 wheelin, good idea to go or not? How difficult is it? I just have no experience but want to get involved, is this a good place to start or would Badland be better?

The Evansville site isn't quite as developed as Badlands nor will the event be as organized by skill levels. Were I in your shoes I'd start with the Dec. 1 TFT event at Badlands.

In his For Sale post he mentioned that 960's were Outback Offroad Gear's version of what's commonly known as a 609. Least that's how I understood it...
