IL event - Cliffs

Some of you guys have talked about coming up to try out the Cliffs.

This looks like a good reason.

http://forum.ih8mud.com/trails-events-expeditions/155828-1st-annual-chicago-toyota-jamboree-%40-cliffs-insane-terrain-orp-july-28-29-a.html

We had a pretty good, but pretty homogeneous turnout for the Trail Team event recently. 22 rigs including 5 80s, my pig, two 4skinners and 2 LR3s. Everything else was FJCs. It'd be cool to see some other LCs represented

Who else is going?

Carl and I are going to make the trip, and I was wondering who else is going to go see the Cliffs?

Clint

What is the Cliffs? Where are the Cliffs? When is the trip to the Cliffs? I might go to the Cliffs. I want to go to the Cliffs. I want my hat also. How far from Anderson? I have to ask for days off as far ahead as possible, when ya goin? Let me know soon, if ya can. Is is as cool as Badlands? Can my mostly stocker hang? Clue me in. Tony.

OK, so I got a clue on my own and clicked on the link in Gumby's post. Now I have the info I need. Adding links to stuff in a posting just might catch on. Much like color T.V., I think this whole internet thing is here to stay. Maybe it really is time to get rid of my rotary phone, sell the Edsel and get some of that indoor plumbing I keep hearing about. I'm such a drain bramaged individual at times.

Hey, All. Prior to or shortly after the Ill. event, does anyone want to get together for a Saturday at the Badlands? You see my deal is I have to ask for days off 3 weeks in advance or it's a NO for sure. I will go to Ill. if it's the only game in town (realitively speaking). But it's a 4 hour drive and I can only have the one day to do it in. So I would rather stay in In. I have to put in my time off request very soon. If there are any takers please post something soon, so I'll know when to ask for a day off. Thanks, Tony.

I'm always interested in new places, will have to check the calander and see if I'm free that weekend.

But I still haven't welded up the frame from GSMTR, and I'm pretty sure Carl's welding on my steering will hold for a few more days of wheeling. Guess I better get busy.

Mark

Hey guys, this should be a good event and if you havent been to the cliffs, it is very different from the badlands. There are really no rocks exept for one quite difficult garden. The terrain is typical illinois woods, lots of peaks and valleys and ridges. The easy trails run along the higher points of the park. The difficult trails are deep in the valleys, twisty and tighter, and yes they can get sloppy depending on the weeks weather. BUT the park is now very well rounded and the newbies now have PLENTY of places to wheel with no issues. I love the cliffs!

If I can get my exhaust/intake manifold gasket changed in time, then I am in for this one.

I finished my lift kit today so I am in for the Cliffs. OME/HD, gave me 3" in front and 5" in back. I guess that gives ya an idea how much sag you get after 250K miles. If looks matter, wow, it finally looks like I have wanted it to look for the last 3 years.
Any way, my plan is to head over Friday night with my daughter, she would kill me if I left her behind. We plan to camp. We have to be home Sunday so we will head home saturday night or first thing Sunday.

Damn, I screwed up!
I thought I had a family camping vacation planned in Mich next week, I just found out our reservations are actually the following week, same as the Cliffs. We don't return until 07/29. My loss!!!

I am going for sure to the Cliffs. I too, will be heading up on Friday evening. I will be camping and go home on Sunday afternoon/evening. I am bringing my friend Johnny with me also. Now I must get back to fixing what I broke on Sunday, wheeling in my woods. Later fellas, Tony.

Clint has'em and I'm sure no one in the club would begrudge you enough for being a F.I.P. as to deny you the coolest piece of cruiser headgear.

Its not the Illini thing that denies you a hat- its the fact that you cheer for the Wankerines!

I gotta see if I can't round up a pair of tickets to the big house so you can experience a football stadium.

I'll have to find my leprechaun outfit including the lime green knickers.
