Dana 44 High Steer?

I realize this may not be the most appropriate forum, but I need some help, rapidly.

I do own a Cruiser which will be built up next, but for now I'm finishing my Jeep. It is a Willy's Wagon on a newer frame with Dana 44's and SOA with high steer and 38's with a spool and so forth.

Here is my question:

When you install the studs for the high steer, do you using loc-tite tp secure the studs to the knuckle?

Thank you

yes, locktite red....you want those babies in there solid. Same goes for studs for the Toy knuckles, you do NOT want those coming loose.

Thanks. I am a shop teacher at work and we are assembling the front end this afternoon.

It's been a cool project. We did do a total frame off on a 40 here a few years ago with a soa and a crate 350 but it is gone.

I have a 73 that I looking for ideas now on what to do with it.

Thanks again for the help, ROB

Surprisingly, woody is actually right. The studs got loose on my 44 and I ripped the arm off the knuckle not much fun. Since I have had them really tight, and loc tite'd they have been good to go.

Good to know. I don't want to go there as they say with a broken knuckle or otherwise>

Thanks
