Bobbed 55 w/ Tubed Rear
Here's what I did to my Big question for you is do you wanna keep the back open or enclose it? You could keep the rear top, after you cut it off, & reuse it as a camper top. I like the way Gumby bobbed his & the 1st photochop similar to his

Have you noticed the Toyota commercials with the green 2 door photoshopped '60? It's pretty cartoony and quickly done. It looks like they used a scout II rear window and top.

Im using a work computer since mine is still broke and cant upload pictures. I can email them to somebody if they could post them.

I did 7 inches i think the max you can really go without major work is 8 inches. I left enough room in the back so a 37" tire will lay down.

Little update since it has been forever
Pics to follow shortly and soon as I can find my camera
All the welding is done. Putting the interior back together the goal is to try and make it stock looking. I have lots of body work and painting to do.
Anybody know the color code of the beige landcruiser color?

Got the windows shortened and put in looks close to stock which is what I was going for.

Here are a few pics of the windows in. They came out pretty nice and there is about 4 inches left to open the window. Enough to get air in the back.

That's really clean man, my Brother just picked up his first 80 now I just have to convince him to try this. Can you post some larger pictures of the after shot though?

Are you going to do anything with the frame or just let it hang?

Im going to cut it off then put the hitch back in between the frame rails for the brace. I had it set up like this before I cut so I will just move it back.
You can kind of see it in the last picture of post 37

All finished for the most part just need to take care of the frame in the back. Paint is all done, interior is all back together. Real happy with how stock looking it is. Its a short guy now.
