I got all my junk from NWF. Kyle was pretty good to work with. ORD would be another great choice.

I looked at both of them for adapters but what about tranny rebuild kits?

It would be a good time to throw in a shift kit while you're in the tranny.

My b&m shift kit was reasonably priced and easy to install. I went with the "street kit".

Finally got to working on it a little today. still have some work to do on the inner wheel well but got the outside welded up. I'm gonna need to use some light bondo or something to clean it up a little though..

I got a little more work done. Got it all cleaned up and gave it some paint! I think it looks pretty good. My first shot at welding sheet metal. Once I put some herculiner over it, that will pretty much hide all my little mistakes.

Thanks guys.

I am using a lincoln 135 T Mig welder with an Argon Co2 mixture for gas. It is pretty versatile and works awesome!

$200 tons!!!!!

Ok So I scored another killer deal!!!! This time on some tons!!!!

I picked up a ford Dana 60HP and the matching Sterling 10.5" (I think) out of a 95 F-350 with drive shafts, and some roller tires and wheels for....

wait for it....

$200!!!

Only downside is the gearing. 3.54, but who cares. that is an easy change!!!!

I am picking them up monday.

I'll post pics of these bad boys as soon as I can!!! I am going to document all my costs on this build. This is the ultimate budget builder!!!

I don't think I'll bob it. Not yet anyway. With the rear moved back a couple of inches I want to try it out first.

hey now it just had to keep it from rolling! It was pretty bad huh, but it did the job.

So for the front I was thinking of maybe going with radius arms instead of leafs. I would try to find some at the pull yard. What do yo think? The idea of out-boarding the front springs does not sound fun to me. I know it is easier but radius arms are pretty simple right?

Thank you. The pictures really make it look better than it is.

I still can't believe I got that deal!

The guy gave me the brake master cylinder for free too! Now I have some real breaking power!

Radius arms are not a bad idea.. search for Montero Arms.. they are pretty popular. Also Look into the Stuff that Rockware uses, and you can always swing out to the shop to see how Ben did the ones on the War Pig.

I like Leaf Springs for simplicity, and they work pretty dam good too!

I will take you up on that. Where is the shop? So did Ben do radius arms in the front and leafs in the back.

I like Leafs for simplicity and how they work too. I am just not sure I like the look of outboard leafs up front.

So I am thinking

Front - Radius arms
Rear - Leafs 63" or 72"?

Just found this thread, great work... for some reason I personally love welding sheet metal.

Ha ha, you're making me feel so stock.

It's never done.

Looks like you did a nice job on the Lincoln locker.
