tire Q (biggest tire vs' breakage)
wondering what is the biggest tire to run on a set of 83' fj/bj60 axles before breakage will be a factor....it will be a light formula toy style buggy and longfields eventually....$$$ ideas welcome

38's and a 180 to 1 didnt last long stock 4 axles in 3 trip went 30 spl long and hit the same spots no problem...also did poly rear to be sure
![]() these two were in 10 ft also broke the rear welded spool and a spring had to winch down hill to get out

Hydro-assist too? Knuckle studs will let go before anything else so concentrate on steering beef first. After the Long/ Poly shafts upgrade, full case lockers, I'd feel comfy runnin 38's.

so 36's would be about the biggest tire I should get for my build...or get long's and go to 38's and hydro assist... thanks guys

I run Bobby's with 39"comp Creepy's with 150# of water per tire and no steering stops what so ever,full hydro 11"double ended ram and have yet to brake anything but the ring gears.

I'm running 37" plus chains in our heavy mud .. Newfields on front along with Longs inner axle, stock rear with ARB lockers F&R .. only one rear long axle burning tires when testing my turbo setup ..
