Contact Donnie Burns at Hardcore 4x4 in Visalia, CA 559-733-3278. Visalia is south of Fresno, CA.

Weak-Link and Marlin are leaving today so they may be able to pick them up and Mudship them for you.

If they aren't totally destroyed you might be able to get a large patch from a truck stop or farm store and put an inner tube in it and get one or both of them rolling again. Good luck.

yeah, all the time getting my rig ready, money, and everything else makes me feel sick. I picked up two Iroks at the 82nd 4wheel parts on the way home so I might swap out the tires and go wheelin at Browns and Sand Lake to make myself at least feel a little better. I dont think it'll fill the non-moab void though.

The worst part is that this was probably the last chance to get down there. Between the kids growing up and the price of gas I just dont think getting down there again will be something that'll happen.

Since you got the tires you need why don't you just go?

Turn your rig around and start heading south east.

Too far back now... not to mention $1000 down now and I'm in the exact same spot I was yesterday. Here's the scenerio that I posted on my local board. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses...

Well, it was a bust. After months of prepping for the trip (time, money, effort) we ended up turning back today after Baker City.

It was doomed from the get go....

1. Our first clue should have been when we figured out that the trailer that we were going to take ended up not being big enough so we ended up borrowing my wife's uncle's nice aluminum trailer.

2. After re-wiring the trailer to hook up the brakes again and fixing the jack,my buddies pretty much brand new dodge's check engine light came on... that's problem 3. He ends up taking it back to the dealer and they switch out the 02 sensor and its game on again...

4. Next clue was when we loaded the cruiser for a test run and I ended up killing a rat that got sandwiched when I pulled out the ramp. That couldnt have been a good sign.

5. After pulling the cruiser onto the trailer it was obvious I needed to pull the wheel spacers to get a little more wiggle room.

6. Pulled spacers and something seemed to wiggle a bit in the steering when pulling it back onto trailer.... hmmm weird. Next day drove my daughter to school in the cruiser...loaded up.

7. Finally we take off... forgot my ipod jack and couple other things. No biggie we're only 5mins from the house. Grab ice and dinner and we're off.

8. Here's where its gets bad: We get about 2miles down the road and one of the trailer tires EXPLODES... doesnt get a flat, I mean EXPLODES. So bad in fact that it blows the trailer fender clear off the trailer. We end up pulling off and grabbing the fender and head to the nearest tire shop.

9. We get there and the guy wants $90 bucks a trailer tire. Damn, pretty spendy especially when the trailer isnt even yours. I also happen to notice that after I took off the wheel spacers the tie rod ends look pretty damn close to the tires.... sure enough the tre's left a HUGE gouge in the inner tires. We decide that Iroks have tough sidewalls and since the tire didnt go flat, they must be good.

10. We remember that we dont have a spare so we go BACK to hillsboro to rob the spare off the original trailer we were going to use and one from the trailer itself. Inserted "tek" screws into fender to fix it.

OK... so we head down the road again. Needless to say we're a little behind schedule at this point.

11. Get just passed The Dallas (oregon) and BOOM!!!! another tire blows. Again, it just didnt get flat. THE TIRE explodes and takes out the other fender. Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12. Get a spare out... replace another sh***y arse trailer tire.

13. Since we are behind we push to Baker City and crash in the bi-mart parking lot at 1-2ish am.

14. Wake up at 5:45 and notice that the Irok that we decided had a "tough sidewall" is completely flat. Damn!!!!!!!

15. Get on the horn/internet/etc. and try to locate another 39.5 Bias Irok somewhere between Baker City and Moab... NO F-ing LUCK. Closest tire is back in Portland... f-ing great, 6 hours the other direction . We eat breakfast and the local scarf and barf and decide enough is enough... the trip has been doomed from the get go and head home.

Fudge Fudge Fudge....

I ended up picking up the 2 iroks at the 82nd 4 wheel parts in hopes that I motivation to mount them and head to TSF to try to fill some of the void of not going to Moab.

Anyone got some tissue?

Just imagine if you HAD made it there! You would have come back with a rolled rig, a pregnant local, and a broken rib

That sucks man On a trip that we dont mention we had a melted bearing that destroyed the traier axle, a flat on the other trailer, the rear end in the tow rig 100 miles form Tellico, drove with no top and full hydro in the dark for 2 hours, then the next day a Heep broke a rear axle on the first hill, then rolled off the mountain while still on the trailer and almost killed everyone in the F250 Sometimes its just not ment to be

Isnt wheeling GREAT!!

Dude, I feel for you. I think most of us here know how much it sucks to work for months or years only to have a series of minor problems kill that perfect trip or event. Head out and use those new shoes, you will feel better!
