chopped my bj60
chopped the rear hatch and roof with more to come....needs so much body work and i'm not into it..also it's a vehicle i bought solely for 4wheelin' so i'm modifying the body to get some tire room and approach angles ...some lift, tires and lock the diffs etc.. ideas welcome

Yeahhhh! that's what I did to my 55. You have any closeup pics of how you boxed in the sheet metal sides & behind the rear doors/ roof? You going to make a custom canvas cover? How bout an inner cage? I'd start shaving the rear corner bottoms/ under tailgate for an increased departure angle.

You could run a 90's S-10 20 gal. tank under the bed, that's what I did. The inlet is on the right side same as yours'. Build a skid & post up more progress pics

nice...another islander! rig looks wicked, if im ever up that way we should find a trail to run. are there many good trails up there?
nothing wrong with runnen a boat tank...thats how we move the 45 around i thought it worked pretty well...scary part is i just ran it through the "floor" without any cutting....

fabbing a new frame from scratch so if anyone has any helpful tips on fabbing one up let me know... using 5x2 rect stock and it will be a tube buggy mostly with only the fire wall/ front inner fenders left intact.
