Custom sway bars for a 40
Does anyone make a heavy duty sway bar set up for a 40? I currently use a sway bar from a 70 series and found it a little loose on the highway - especially if I changed lanes.
I upgraded my shocks last year to the new Rancho RS9000x with in cab air controls and realized the air nipples are way to close to the existing sway bar. I found this out after breaking the nipples during a nice climb. Before I broke it, when I had the shock setting at 9 (the stiffest) it was much more manageable, but still not as stiff as I would like. In my feeble mind - a set up like the Currie Anti-Rock would be ideal as it sits high and outta the way however their arm length (17", 18" or 20") is way too long for my application. If I cut theirs down to my needs (approx 8") it would make their sway bar way too stiff IMHO. My buggy has coils front & back. Four link long arm in the rear and three link long arm in the front with detachable sway bar linkage. It's all custom built. It has fantastic articulation. I'm thinking of going air bags (from a highway truck) at least out back as then I can change air pressures. If anyone has any ideas - please let me know. Any and all ideas would be appreciated.
