some few question about my build up

I just kinda wanted more advise.

I just got a 72.
I have just started to stripped down. Plans are to run 1 tons. Dana 60 pass drop and a 14 bolt. with a 350 fuel injectedl. Auto tran. with im hoping to have a dana 300. leaf springs for right now. and see how the money is if i could aleast 4 link the rear with air shocks. I wanted to know if I should cut my 60 down? (4.5) And run a dually rear end. I see alot of people run 4'' bs on wheels and I think that would cause the hubs to be in harms way to much. Maybe 3'' would be better? This is going to be my first BIG project. So if you guys could give me some good advise, That would be great, I read medusa dana 60 build. Great info there.
