Owner: Jim Ridderbush
Fab Shop: JJ's Custom Body & Fabricating, Appleton, WI (Jim is minority owner)
First ride: July 4th weekend, "boring" trip to N Wisc.

not built as a comp rig, tho it likely could...Jim wanted a new trail rider, decided it would be more fun to build from scratch. 3 seater setup, 35's on 17" BL's for now, nothing fancy really...

Building one for Jon next...taking ideas from this one....and improving....

Part of the plan includes DOT inspection and WI Hobbyist plates.

It will be for sale in August, once the bugs are worked thru. So far, so good...

He's done excellent work on both My Cruiser and the Chics Jeep, His tube work on our cages and rock sliders is also excellent.

we are taking bets right now on the weight...I'm guessing 2500-2700, Jon and Jim think more like 2800-3200...either way, pretty light. The hood, cowl and cowl are stock sheetmetal, the fenders are thin sheet, and the sidepanels and tub are all aluminum.

The bezel is upside down. It's ruined. Better send it up here to the U.P. so nobody ever sees it.

Nice rig, really cool.............

How do you think the mini truck axles will hold up over time?

You guys and your upside down bezel, pick something new and yes I have put one upside down also. Its still a cruizer regardless, pick on the guy who has his 40 for sale on E-bay with his brush guard on backwards, now thats very noticeable.

damn bezels...I'll call this morning and chew him out...

The front mini has Long 4340 inners and Longfields. With the 35's that are on there, should be no problems, particularly since it's not gonna be comp'd. Time will tell....

Woody,
Didn't a rear pinion snap already? I believe his chic was driving it on the road when this happened.

teeth on the ring gear....not sure yet if it's a bad ring-pinion set or a setup problem.

Bezel is upside down because it's trimmed for the winch cable to run thru...running it correctly would have mean almost eliminating the bottom piece...

Ya know that prolly isn't much more work, building something from scratch, than it is to build/modify over time. Could be wrong though.

the sheetmetal work DOES take lots of time, and Jim bead-rolled all the panels for strength....

I "think" the buggy is coming down to Attica (tho not competiting) this weekend, outta get a couple action shots of it....
