I'm thinking desert beige/tan. The same color as the 45 Extended Cab.

I like the rims. You'll be able to haul lots of parts and tools with the utility bed.

She really liked it but thought the diesel was a bit loud. I have not made the shifter for the T-case so the tranny hump is sitting in the shop. It is a bit loud.

The front springs should settle in a bit and I wanted to get the weight of the bed and the gooseneck set up, etc before I lift the back of the rig to level it out.

I was actually thinking about an Orange with silver paint job to go along with the factory two tone.

Wife said it would look to muck like Cal Trans trucks.

I also thought about a solid color and doing the SS stripes up the hood and over the cab. Wife said there is nothing Super Sport about it.

Wife likes the old FJ40 color of Toyota desert tan/beige.

When I painted the 60, I wanted mustard yellow but my wife wanted something way brighter. Ended up with a very bright yellow. Now I like bright colored rigs.

Nothing SS about it? Your wife hasn't seen the potential of a Cummins! with a little work, you'll be spanking SS Camaro's all day long

the day light pics look even better. My vote is for Camaro racing orange with the SS stripes... Tan wont do it justice.

Nice job & great vision, I couldn't envison it coming together so well.

Not sure about the tan with those wheels. Go with the orange/silver idea. I've always liked that combo.

Nice build!

Dude, this thread rocks...

If you can get your hands on a 1st gen Banks intercooler it looks like it would fit perfectly in there.

A deep copper color.

The stock ones would not allow much clearance (-1") between the oil pan to the Dana 60. I needed some clearance so I installed 4" Skyjacker lift springs for a Dodge with a Cummins. I heard they will settle a bit. I have a pretty substantial bumper for the front as well as an 8274 winch. If the springs to not settle down, I will look at shorter ones.

I think with the bumper and the winch you'll have no problem getting them to settle. Have you thought about painting the truck stock colors and scheme? White in the middle right?

I'm seriously thinking about it. The only factory color I can see is the engine compartment and inside the cab. I have never seen an old style GMC or chevy this color.

I think the white top would look great with a white top on the FJ45.

I'm working with Dwitcher on that.

I have to get is somewhat assembled to see how much room I need.

Has anybody ran an Aftercooler in a vehicle before? They are generally used on industrial applications for the motors.

I have seen a few of them. They sit higher then the valve covers so you'll need to look into hood clearence. The air to air coolers are more efficent and cool better.

That thing came out nice. Like the wheel combo. You need some led brake lights, A gray ish color would look nice.

Once I get the bumper and 8274 mounted up front it will settle a bit. Once it settles down I will lift the rear as needed.

Front bumper is installed and the 8274 is bolted in but not wired.

The front end did not drop much.
