Removed the Windshield frame from my 1964 FJ 40 Carcass.
Drilled out the hinge pins after I broke 3 tips on the impact driver trying to get the screws out.
Mounted the windshield frame on the rig.
I still have to get new pins.

Watch for caviatation on the feed line to the pump. Those right angles make it hard for the fluid to move as fast as you may need.

Bleeding the air out of the lines with them laid over likel that is sometimes hard. Keep that in mind.
BTW, smokin job drilling out the hinge pins.. I have NEVER been able to drill that straight!

from the res to the pump or from the pump to the box . ?
Are the pump not ready to " suck " as much fluid as it needs .. ?
Its recomended blled the piston at the piston fittings or the complete system .. with all conectors tight ?

From the res to the pump.
The pumps do not do a very good job of "sucking".

Installed the pressure hose from the pump to the steering box.

Here is how the return line looks.
I pressed a spring inside the hose the full length (nipple to nipple). The hose is similar to 5/8" heater hose size and the spring is snug in the sidewalls.

ACT 2010 is the reason but dusty trails in this area is the secondary reason. Hopefully I will get this on the trails this year.

I had a snorkle on my old CJ and it was great for the sierra trails in the summer. My filter went from a dirt clod to usable after each trip.

After going to 2 Auto Zones and 4 Napa Stores and Oil distributor and even Walmart, I found nobody carriers Synthetic Power Steering Fluid. I had to use conventional Power Steering fluid.
After 2 trip to the hose and fitting store i got the power steering hoses I needed. I put everything together and added oil to the power steering pump.
I started the engine and found I still had a major oil leak in the area behind the Wabco.
It seems the PO added a gop of sylicon to an oil drain hole. You know, the one behind the engine mount bracket and below the injector pump.
I guess the new vacuum pump or maybe just running was enough to blow it out.
Off with the power steering pump, Wabco Pump, resivour. Jack the engine up and take the actual engine mount off.
Remove the broken off piece of pipe, tap and install a pipe plug.
I hope your Sat went better.

I just went through the power steering fluid fiasco last week. I was using Synpower and didn't want to flush the system for my ram etc. so I found an old Napa that had 6 quarts left in a dusty box, then hit every store and ordered what was left from the warehouses in the area. Hopefully I have enough to last me awhile, but I have no idea why it went scarce. Was thinking Royal Purple or Red Line when I have to switch.

That drain plug looks like it was a PITA to get at, but at least it's fixed for good.

It was.
The engine mount and bracket had to come off and out. I just finished doing the repair and it is all buttoned up.
I really hate that its maden voyage will be done at night so I cannot video it.
(can someone PM the shift pattern of an NV4500)

I believe it's the same as the H55. I don't remember any differences when I was driving my buddie's 3/4t Ram.

Not completely done but almost ready for a shake down wheeling run.
I forgot to connect the brake booster to the vacuum pump and a few other little things.
