Not yet.
I'm not completely sold on the Intercooler yet.
It helps keep your EGT normal which mean you do not loose HP on big hills. It does nothing to increase hp.

not directly .. but ( I like this But .. )
Lower EGT means more room for more fuel .. more fuel in a turbo diesel engine means more powa ..
So if you run a big front mounted intercooler or a top with a fan intercooler, you are always getting lower intake temps .. that drive you to lower EGT that drive again in to more room for fuel ..
Actually if you just add more " boost " ( and know boost it's relative between fuel available and engine load ) there is nothing more than boost ..
But .. ( again this But ! )
with more fuel ( that it's the main reason to run a turbo and anyind of intake temp cooler ) you are producing instant more powa ..

What? are you considering removing your JWAC for a air to air intercooler?
With the stock turbo and virgin pump, no need for a intercooler. even though your 4bta is rated for more hp than a 4bt(different pump settings due to the JWAC unit, i dont know).

this is completely true!
also, if you don't have low enough air intake temps this could eventually cause detonation...
good luck!
you could really go all out and get that kit that sprays water on your intercooler and significantly lowers your EGT, resulting in (as tapage says) MORE POWA!!

While we're on the topic of Cummins in Memphis- never, ever, EVER buy a reman'd turbo from Cummins.
At least one that was reman'd in the US. Apparently their Mexico plant is automated.
Seriously though, don't. I know I never will.

I'm more fan of air to air coolers .. coz they are extremely simple and nothing more than initial cost of product and instalation asociated ..
then the air to water coolers that have another water system and to much water close to the intake route ..
Then drive in to propane .. and yes .. propane it's a great option and actually you can source a bolt on kit that only will cost on propane tank recharche ( depends how much you use it .. )
Like apple pie or cheescake .. I like both .. but usually buy apple pie as my favorite .. but nothing wrong with other options . .
If you think you like propane and have a propane soorce easy and close to you .. nice .. it's like ARB instalation .. one time good air instalation and never be worried again ..

food for thought- aren't air to air are more efficient? the water to air aftercoolers can only cool the charged air with water at temps of +190*(using the coolant that the motor uses, which i believe is how your system works on your 4bta) unlike the air to air that has a much better cooling rate using ambient air(assuming your moving and its not 150* outside).

It depends . .. the size, where are, the outside temps, kind of application, speed throught etc ..

Dan,
sent you a text message . . . your front U-bolts, from the pics, it looks like you just made new spring perches and used conventional U-bolts (U shaped) to hold the axle to the springs. Can you post a few more picks of this?
Also, what was your pinion angle and did you use Marlin's Hi-steer arms? Since we have the same front end, I need to get some arms for my rig.

RuffStuff SOA kit
4x4 Labs Steering Arms
My pinion angle will be different than what you need since I am running a shackle reversal and my front springs are moved.

Started on the steering and had a bit of a set back.
I had a slight oil leak from the pump area. I thought I did not tightten the oil feed line to Wabco or something. Nope!
I pulled the assy and found the seal was cocked in the housing causing the oil leak.
I also noticed the drive gears were really worn.

Thanks for the info. Should be getting the rough stuff 60 series SOA perches in the next few days. I think I am going to talk to Marlin about his hy-steer kit. I can get the 60 series kit, but I will need a custom drag link since mine is longer than a 40's but shorter than a 60s.

How the ram is going to sit.
Disregard the 1x2" that I'm using as a spacer and the bungie strap.

Just curious - how did you cut the arc in that piece? Hole saw, plasma and sanding drum or have you got a laser?
Spare part of another kit or just a piece you had lying around? Looks laser cut to me.

just out of curiousity, is the 1" spacer going to be enough to keep the cylinder/mount away from the tie rod as the tie rod sweeps forward when turning to either side?

Got a few things done and erased off the board.
Remounted the Air Tank and the Viar 480C Air Compressor. I still have to wire it in.
Mounted the Power Tank.
