That rocks! Too damn cool. Love that feeling! the turbo sounds so cool spooling down after you let of the IP lever.
I wish I had the shop you have. Although, if I did, I likely would put a bed roll in the back of a cruiser and just sleep there rather than walking inside.

LOL!
I was careful to not show the entire shop. It is a 40x60 that is pretty well equiped.

I ran to the parts store this morning and got a water pump. I removed the alternator and the old water pump, cleaned the surface and reinstalled the new water pump.
Took remove the alternator I just removed the top bolt and loosened the bottom bolt and pivoted it down. Upon reassembly, the alternator came off in my hand.
The PO must have drilled out the broken bolt (missed 1/2 the bolt) and then assembled. Half of the ear was cracked, you can see how deep the blue paint seeped into the crack in the picture of the Alternator.
I called Cummins West and then sent them pictures of what I needed. They are drop shipping a new water neck it to me and I should have it by 11:00am tomorrow. I was amazed how cheap it was. Around $52 to my door.

Oh wow. At least you caught that crack before it became a bigger issue!

I'm still blown away with thier service. I have bought a lot of little parts from Cummins West so they kinda know me. I called them with my engine numbers and they could not find that part on the IPL. They e-mailed me the breakdown. I took pics of the part and picked the part I though it was from the IPL and sent it back. They sent me a price and I ordered it.
It was shipped from Cummins Inc in Mephis TN and I had it 20 hours later. All this for $52.

Con Fer
In case you ever wondered,
Yes Con Fer did put a Baffle in thier 22 gallon fuel tank.
When you put a hole in it for your sending unit, avoid the middle of the tank.

Im no magician so I cannot move a hole.
Weld it back shut, pressure test the tank to 12PSI (diesel) and then drill a new hole and install sending unit.

After enough poking from Mudders, I changed the nuts on my U-Bolts to self locks and cut them off.

The Cummins guys in Memphis are a good group of people. I hung out with a guy from there last month. He was talking about some new products that sounded sweet.
