I got an E-mail that CCOT is finally going to ship my parts.
Makes the second time I received the e-mail in the past month so I'm not holding my breath.

How long have you been waiting on the parts? Are you taking it on the New Year's snow run?

Dan gave me the detailed info. Crossing fingers for the parts to show up for him as a New Year's gift.

The bed is back off and the sheet metal replacement has began .
I have to replace the power steering pump and wire up the rear lights and plumb in the second fuel tank.
I also have to get the front driveshaft converted to a Long Travel.
I just have to be home to do all this.

My order showed up from CCOT, I cannot use any of it on this rig since the radius's are different and the rear sill is different as well. The parts are correct, just not for my application. I will end up using the sheet metal and parts on one of my other FJ40's.
I will begin building everything from scratch.

I picked up some more steel on my way home. I'm building a bed pretty much from scratch.

I made a new front and rear sill.
The floor of the bed is 3/16" steel diamond tread.

This is just mock up of the rear quarter panel. The wheel opening needs to kinda match the radius of the wheel. The panel will get lengthened and shortened.

So why did you decide to fab your own bed instead of working the other 45 bed you had?

I started to. As I cut away the rust and made patch panels, I realized that I had better quit since I would have nothing left. The rust was so bad, the only thing I could use was the center section of the bed floor and the top lip.

I'll post pics of what is left of the bed.
Some FJ45 guys may need some patch panels.

Left over from the spare tire carrier, latch for the one side is identical to the one for the tailgate.
The 3/16 tread plate is kinda heavy for a bed floor. Why not cut up a never truck bed as a donor?
Your truck looks great otherwise, gives me lots of ideas for future projects!

It is 1/8". I don't think I would not be able to lift a sheet of 3/16"

I think he was referring to this post - cause I was thinking the same thing. Must have mis-typed.
P.S. This is looking great.
