Doesn't the front of the trac bar need to be able to move forward with a shackle? Or does the heim allow for enough movement?

Dan, go flex that out oand see what it does to your springs.

A hard mounted bar like that is going to bind up something fierce..

It is an easy enough fix. Should it be a long shackle or short shackle?

mostly what fits currently..

Ramp the truck as it stands, look at the springs
Then disconnect the rear bar and ramp the truck again.
get a good idea of how much movement the bar will see dring articualtion.

That will help ya get a good feel for how long the shackle needs to be.

Back up the RTI ramp or drive up it?

I'm embarrased to say that I have my own RTI ramp.

With 122" wheel base I will run out of ramp before I flex the back too much. I could drive by the ramp and try to put the back trie on it.

i would also highly recommend adding some more material to the axle mounts for the track bar. weld a plate across the back and one to the bottom to connect the two side supports and to get more surface on the housing itself.

without the extra plates, the two side plates can and will tear out of the housing. remember, these are stamped housings, not thick wall tubing like the domestic counterparts.

I made it home at 2:00am this morning. I slept till 7:00am and been wrenching on the FJ40.5 EC as well as my Mini and my M6. I'm trying to get some space cleared out to pull the Tow Rig into the shop for some enhancements.

My FJ45 EC is going to FC Fabrications for tube fenders and shocks on the 11th so I have to get a few things done on it.
