I'll plan on stopping by and giving you a hand if you need it. I am going for a wedding and am looking for any excuse to be away as much as possible

Sweet!
The trip to SNF is a full day. You will see some big azz trees (38' across).

I've always wanted to go see the SNF so it could work out quite well. Help you out on the 45 and go to SNF the next day. I think that is how I can convince my wife of skipping out on the family because she has never been there and she is from turlock.

Now I think I need to make it a shorter wheelbase. Somehow.
It looks good. Has very good approach and departure angles. But I think 122" wheel base is a bit much. It should ride smooth going down the road.
(My 72GMC 1-Ton 4x4 with a Cummins is at 132".)

I think 122 is fine with those tires and how much lift it has.

If the springs used were never on a SOA - chances are they'll settle some after a few runs. Too much effort to ditch an SOA - if the finished weight and a few runs doesn't lower it, go to flatter springs and smaller shackles.
You'll get nosebleeds otherwise.
Nice cab!

I would leave it. Your running a flat bed right? I would get it going and run it for a while, if you want to change at a later date go forward with the chop and order a new driveline.
I will be in the neighboorhood of 120ish when all is said and done. I think your good.

Both drive shafts are installed.
Pushed it outside the shop and will be doing the front knuckle and adding the Lukes 4x4 High rear steer kit with doing the axle seals and knuckel rebuild in the morning.

Nice work Sir. I think she will settle in nicely. Who's gonna even notice the 40 when you have a tow rig rolling on chrome like that

Well, I'm no engineer but I do have a lot of theories. The springs front and rear are new and have never been flexed.
I will bring it back down to earth naturally. As you could tell by the pics, right now I have no axle shims in front or rear. I am planning on waiting until the bed is done and the rest of the engine in to add them. On the back will be a custon flatbed, 38" spare tire and a fuel cell.
Right now up front is just a long block 2F, less the head. I will be using a full blown 2/3FE engine that I'm currently building. (I'm waiting on Mace and Matt to get back to me, LOL!) That should add some weight in the front and along with the Warn 8274 and bumper that is goin on the front. That should drop it down a bit.
After I wheel it a few times in my back yard and it does not level out, I am prepared to go with shorter shackles up front and if that does not work I will recess the rear front spring hangers in the frame.

Dan, your rig is looking super cool man! It will settle, just takes some time. I want to say I had a few hundred miles on mine and I know for certain it settled over 1".
Way stoked for you! All that wheelbase looks good.

I could hook up a few wires and it would be running and driving.
It would not have the exhaust connected or a permanant fuel tank or any lights but it is that close.
