hot knife

where can i get a hot knife to groove my tires?

I got mine from Speedway (hot rod and circle track parts supply)
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/ three years ago I bought the 300 watt version a head and some blades, they all come seperate. It has worked well thru a few sets of tires. If you have new tires you want to groove then keep them new until you groove them. dirt in the rubber dulls the blades quikly.

I got mine from Speedway http://www.speedwaymotors.com/ three years ago. I got the 300 watt model a head and some blades. It has worked well for me.

Leave the tires in the sun for as long as you can, makes the cutting MUCH easier.

Heat lamp helps too. I made a stand for my heatlamp that is just the right height to warm the tire as I'm cutting...
