What TIG welder are you using for the crossmembers and frame welding?

Thanks for all the props guys!! I appreciate it coming from all you because I have seen you guys build some bitchin rigs here on Mud
![]() Woody: Not yet...soon Isotel: The fenders are staying You will see as we progress on the build.Marcfj-45: I actually was checking out your thread awhile ago..too bad I am unable to read it, im sure it has some usefull info for me...the project looks cool. www.aqualu.com has been great and the quality of their fab is top notch..we will be mocking it all up for fit then disassemlbing it. For basically being completely hand built, I am very impressed with it. beaufort-fj60: The rim is an Axxis 17", I am using these for mockup because i have a set laying around in my other building. They are a good rim. Moby: We use Miller SynchroWaves Bkfj40: Hmmmmmm

Which one? I'm looking at the Synchrowave 200 and was wondering if it would be enough for occasional frame type work on 3/16"-1/4". Mostly it would be 20gauge to 1/8" but I want to be able to do a bit thicker reasonably well. I've gotten some somewhat vague answers on this - just curious what you think. Sorry for the hijack...
Love those clean welds, keep the pics coming! __________________ Joel '89 FJ-62 |

Seems to be a first for me to see, custom factory style frame, but better.
Nice to see builds like this. __________________ Check out our new location in Duncan, BC www.raddcruisers.ca --> 60 Series Cable Lockers available - 4.11s or 3.70s - all hardware included --> 12HT & H55F combos available - complete & running Limited Quantities - Deposit or Full Payment Required to hold your order while they ship |

Thanks for the kind words
... I have some more photos to share. Work is progressing slowly due to day to day demands...We started getting the motor ready by pulling it out of its cubby hole and splitting the trans. It is a GM Gen III 6.0L HO engine and 4l65E HD trans. It will look brand new when it goes back in, plus we have some mods for it .Larry __________________ TLCA #17281 FJ45 SWB Project, Aqualu, 6.0 L HO, Fab9's, In Progress 66 FJ40 Project/Parts ? 84 4-Runner, Bone Stock Texas Truck 87 4-Runner, 22RET, SAS, Etc. 05 Ram CTD, BD, ATS Trans "I could have been a chimney sweep....does anyone know where I put that matchbook cover?" |
