I got a couple of aluminum drawers that Im going to use for my drawer system.

What is the best way to treat them. I want to paint them a white color on the inside and keep the natural color of aluminum on the outside..

Do I prime the inside first and then paint them?
HomeDepot has a aluminum specific primer/paint (rustoleum brand) should I go with that ?

Can I use a clear coat for the outside and call it good ?

The inside will also have a clear (almost see through) rubber mat on the bottom to dampen any clanking....

Any input on this is most welcome

Asking around I was told to clean the aluminum really good and let it dry for a few days.. then score it and clean it again with Acetone and use this primer first

then use this, once the primer dry and cure for two days....

Finish came out great !!!
Now time will tell if I did it right and/or if picked the right product.....

I did but I was press for time then.. and I didn't know how much anodizing them would run for....
Thanks for the input...

You need to use a good self etching primer. The paint will stick well to it then.
