Traded my '93 80 (+a small sum) for this beast:

'73
Aqualu Tub
350 Cheby
Trubo 350 Transmission
Power steering with 4x4 Labs High steer
1/2 ass frame-off resto
4 wheel discs
Metal Tech Cage
Master-Craft Baja seats with custom mounts for bigger guys
25 gallon sub tank
New MT Baja Claws (nipples still on them)
MFE Rear bumper with swing outs
Tuffy center console
Brand spanky new winch
etc, etc...

A little flashy for me but it is a good start.

Gonna need some advice on a bunch of stuff, as usual, so I figured I would get a thread started to update as things progress...

First up, rear seat from JCW for the boy's carseat and a stereo.


What say mud?

Yeah, Ive had my eye on that since it posted in the FS section. That thing sure is nice. I was trying to get my buddy to buy it but it was a little out of his $ range. Glad to see it went to a fellow mudder. Hard top? Congrats and have fun.

I think I have seen that one before on here. Did you get from a mud member in Texas? I believe maybe a military man, either way it looks like a nice rig.:cheers:
 
No hard top.

However, I have another 73 with the top that I suppose I could fix up and put on this.

That being said, I have had the old one for 15 years and never put the top on it.

I'm thinking soft top.

Yup, Marine out of Texas but he is in SoCal now.

We met half way and did the trade in Lost Hills.

So far, both very happy.

His GF has comfort and I have a new toy to wrench on with my 3yo boy.

Sweet ride Bro, I have not had my hard top on in 15 years Talk to Rob ( Calstyl2) he has the same roll bar and I like the way the paki top fits looks good also. Really looks like they did a good job on all the major upgrades. I am sure a few muddy roads with Nat and the flash will wear off real quick.
 
When my boys were that age I just mounted the car seats to the floor.

Nice looking ride, I like it.
