Does anyone have any information about Mega Winch? Once they were manufactured in Portland,Oregon. At that time, a good friend talked me into buying one instead of a Warn. Now i need replacement parts and they are out of business from what I can tell.

Low Gear: 468:1, High Gear: 133:1

Wow, a high speed an low speed. One of the big advantages of the 8274 is that it pulls strong, but still spools back in reasonably fast. I can see the advantage to having a "pull-yourself-out gear" and a "spool-the-cable-in-fast" gear. And at that ratio its almost 4 times faster.

Definately looks good on paper.

I have 2 8274's in my shop and one on my 80, all three need to be rebuilt.

This mega winch loks like it might be worth a try, but I'd have to rebuild and sell an 8274 before i can afford any new toys.

I got nothing back from 'em .. 0 nada ..

I decide for Superwinch 16.5 and will post my impresions when I test it

Also was checking few worms in eBay .. but at the end was bit scary coz all Husky works was 10K rated.
