2003 Surburban Z71 E-brake adjustment.
Recently I was helping a buddy of mine make adjustments to his e-brake, he is going on a family vacation and is giving it a once over to make sure everything is safe this is the problem:
....the emergency brake will not hold the truck. The emergency brake pedal goes all the way to the floor with no resistance. The equalizer nut is adjusted all the way out and star wheel is adjusted on both sides so the drums clear the emergency brake shoes. I did notice that with the emergency brake shoe off and the brake pedal is depressed only one side of the emergency brake wheel cylinder pushes on the shoe. Post up if you can help a fellow mudder out.
