I am looking into buying a truck to tow a car dolly/toyota PU with and maybe use a truck bed camper with. I found a 1997 3500 2wheeldrive crew cab with a single rear wheels 14 bolt? and a vortec 5.7L(350?) with automatic and 276,000!!!My question is this a good truck,can the 276k 350 handle becoming a tow vehicle?as far as rust goes this truck is great i am just wondering how good(where they known for any problems?)are these Vortec5.7L and the automatic behind it,and the 14bolt?this seams to me to be a setup youmight get 300k or more out of but that is a lot of miles. the truck was used as a painting company truck,well maintained,good to excellent as far as body or rust, kinda dirty inside and i havent driven yet has been for sale for 3 months asking $2000 i am thinking $1000 kelley blue book says $3600!!!!!holy $&!+!!!!......................i really HAVE to have a crew cab...but wanted a diesel and dually but not in my price range
