I thought it was posted not to cross the river due to the re-vegetation efforts on the other side ? at least between December and June, the east bank of the river is completely closed for protection of bald eagle habitat.

Well, that expalins "rrdogma". Beautiful dogs - and happy looking too...the head out the window and expression looked like my Catahoula saying "why are we stopped? Lets wheel!" - guess it's just a standard happy dog look.

Hi All!
I'm a newbie with an 84 BJ60. Pretty stock, nothing to brag about...yet, but I have big plans! I'm really happy to have found this site because everyone thought that I was nuts when I bought my truck, (hubby SO wanted me to buy a little Honda car! ). It's nice to find a place where a girl's affection for her truck is understood!

Yeah...it was one of those times that curiosity won out over common sense..but it was just plain stupidity runnin' the show when I went through again...twice.
She held up nicely but that just makes me feel more bulletproof and one of these times my luck will run out so I do need a snorkel - any suggestions in this area? I have heard of people making thier own but not sure if I could pull it off - anyone done this? Which way do you guys face your snorkels? I have heard that facing the windshield works well, but heard the pros of facing rear and forward as well...

face the windshield and it gives you the best air flow into the system, protects from limbs and stones damaging the $25 plastic mesh and Safari, although really expensive, makes the best..
i like home made but it usually ends up the same or more than the safari one..

BIODIESEL10, nice truck and I like your picture. It reminds me of the river beds in Namibia during raining season.

Ok, I'll play.
Here's a picture of my wheeling rig, Agent Orange. She's an 81 BJ42 with a 13BT motor. This pic was taken at Surf N Turf 2005.

Here's Uncle Gord. Basic stock 1976 FJ40. My first love (the truck, not the guy). Will never part with him.

Here's a pic of my 85 BJ73. My daily driver up until about a week ago. "Mr. Guderian" is up for sale now.
