new comer
Hi,
Man am I ever glad to see a woman's forum and so many gals on it!!! I was beginning to feel pretty isolated and WAY out of my league.
Having said that, my name is Sue. I am from Medford Oregon. I just purchased a 92 fj80. I am totally clueless mechanically, but hope to be learning quickly. I joined in Jan of this year, met Ige at Moab (Bob bancroft's friend). Am hoping to go to Pismo Beach in Nov and Moab next yr. Awfully glad to see other gals. Would LOVE to go to an all women's event, so bring it on gals!!!!

Hey Sue, welcome to the gang. Not a lot going on over here these days, but don't feel out of your league on the main boards. There are a lot of really good folks here that are more than willing to help. You'll be fine...just read a lot. There's a treasure trove of info on MUD.

hey sue. glad to meet ya at moab.love to see more cruiser chicks. some day we will take over the cruiser world (insert evil laugh here) sorry to find out about you and bob.
definitely feel free to ask any questions you have here. heather and i won't put up with any attitudes that might make anyone (male or female) feel insufficient here. everyone has to start somewhere, myself included.
from where to check your oil to how to fix a bad main bearing, if we can't help you, we'llfind out the answer.
i just stoked to see more women involved

Okay, so I'm late to the welcome party, as usual. But hello, & welcome to the Mud addiction.
FWIW, the Mudders in my local club have been AWESOME, from free shop space to morale support whilst wheeln, just a great bunch of guys (and their wimmins, at meetings).
Lotsa neat supportive dudes in the Tech sections as well.
Maybe Ige can carve out some chickie space at Moab next year: I'd be more inclined to go if they welcomed "firefighter" volunteers instead of "fireMAN". We could have an evening "Wrenching 101" session or something.

Hi My name is Robbette. New to the Cruiser scene but prior car was an 87 (I think) pickup. I just bought my 86 FJ60 in February. Loving every moment of it and getting greasy. I live in Placerville, CA unitl the rivers carry me elsewhere. Stooked to see a chick group. Got on this site to do research and shoot off questions. See what is going on. Are there any ladies in the Hangtown area???

Hi!
I'm about 40 minutes west of you. Anytime you want to run some of the trails up there let me know.
I'm limping right now looking for tire/wheel replacements but should be on the trail soon.

Robbette, if you have a chance to wheel with Mo (MuddyGrrl) take her up on it! I wheeled with her out in CO a couple of years ago and it's a great time. I'd still love to see an "all girls" wheeling trip. Let's put those boys to shame!

That sounds great Muddy. Gonna have to make it quick cause it looks like the rivers in Oregon are calling my name. Heading out to Hells Canyon area next week got a job in Enterprise. But if we can get in a quick session I am so down.

I am Suzanne from Morongo Valley, CA, and I have a 1971 FJ55 that I am attempting to get back into original condition. It has been in the family since my brother bought it new in Nov. 1970. It was passed to me nine years ago when Dad died. I have gotten tons of help in the Iron Pig Preservation Society forum.

Hi I am Denise just got my first cruiser its a 73 basket case basically. My dad had one when I was 19, thought about getting one when my kids were babies(29 and 30 now) and so I have a project. It'll be awhile.
